Tips
Obwohl introduces a concessive clause showing a contrast or contradiction
Means “although”, “even though”, or “despite the fact that”
The verb in the obwohl clause goes to the end
Obwohl can start the sentence or come in the middle
Shows that something happens despite an obstacle or contrary expectation
Common in both spoken and written German
